The most impor­tant thing in a house is the heat­ing sys­tem. The cli­mate in the room and the com­fort of the inhab­i­tants of this place depend on it. Thanks to well-cho­sen heat­ing, even in the most ter­ri­ble frosts, the house will always be warm. In the mod­ern world, man­u­fac­tur­ers offer many options for heat­ing boil­ers. With­out mak­ing incred­i­ble efforts, you can find the ide­al option that allows you to heat the area entrust­ed to him.

Types of heating boilers

You can install such a device in almost any pri­vate house. Depend­ing on the avail­able resources, the fuel on which the boil­er will oper­ate is select­ed:

  • Sol­id fuel. This is an improved clas­sic Euro­pean oven. The mate­r­i­al from which the heater is made dif­fers (if bricks and spe­cial fur­nace mason­ry were used in the con­struc­tion of the fur­nace, then the boil­ers are made main­ly of cast iron). The prin­ci­ple of oper­a­tion has also changed slight­ly. Mod­ern fur­naces have two com­bus­tion cham­bers. Due to which fuel is con­sumed more effi­cient­ly, and the smoke becomes much clean­er and more envi­ron­men­tal­ly friend­ly.
  • Liq­uid fuel stoves. Such devices “feed” main­ly on fuel oil and are used to heat large rooms or even sev­er­al hous­es. This option can­not be used in a pri­vate house.
  • Gas boil­ers. This is the most com­mon option in the mod­ern world. Due to the high effi­cien­cy and the rel­a­tive­ly low price of fuel, these boil­ers are installed in most pri­vate hous­es. Gas pipelines are avail­able in almost every cor­ner of the coun­try and there­fore fuel is avail­able to almost any fam­i­ly.
  • Elec­tric boil­ers. They work almost silent­ly. In addi­tion, where there is no gas pipeline, there is def­i­nite­ly elec­tric­i­ty, so this device can be installed in any home.

It is usu­al­ly advised to choose gas boil­ers. They are able to heat a rather large pri­vate house and at the same time such devices are quite envi­ron­men­tal­ly friend­ly, and gas is avail­able almost every­where. These devices, unlike their coun­ter­parts, do not require a foun­da­tion, because they do not have a large mass.

Poles and cons of gas boilers

Gas boil­ers have earned the love of res­i­dents of pri­vate hous­es for a rea­son. They have a num­ber of pos­i­tive qual­i­ties:

  • The effi­cien­cy fac­tor (coef­fi­cient of per­for­mance) of such a boil­er is very high, with the low cost of the fuel used, this helps to save sig­nif­i­cant­ly.
  • Large heat­ed space. Not every device will be able to heat a build­ing as large as a gas mod­el.
  • Gas heaters do not require a spe­cial place where the fuel will be stored, due to this, you can save a lot of space for some­thing more impor­tant.
  • Gas appli­ances are easy to oper­ate and do not require any spe­cial skills for this. Repair of boil­ers is also car­ried out with­out much effort.
  • Life time. A gas-fired heat­ing boil­er can faith­ful­ly serve for more than 15 years.
  • Turn­ing off the gas is very rare, so the prob­a­bil­i­ty of a lack of heat­ing is very small.

But even such a use­ful and eco­nom­i­cal device has sev­er­al dis­ad­van­tages that slight­ly over­shad­ow its use:

  • For the legal instal­la­tion of gas heat­ing equip­ment, you have to obtain spe­cial per­mis­sion from gov­ern­ment agen­cies.
  • With some changes in the gas pipe out­side or on the site, the boil­er may react to this event by smok­ing.
  • It is illog­i­cal to heat very large hous­es, more than a hun­dred square meters, with gas boil­ers. These devices will not be effi­cient and envi­ron­men­tal­ly friend­ly in such an area.
  • Dan­ger of gas leak­age. Will have to keep an eye on it.

Location

Depend­ing on the method of fix­ing the boil­er in space, wall and floor options are dis­tin­guished. Sin­gle-cir­cuit gas boil­ers, which is bet­ter, floor or wall? Let’s try to under­stand this issue by com­par­ing their fea­tures.

Wall mod­els are used in small hous­es where there is no need for an incred­i­ble amount of ther­mal ener­gy. These mod­els of heaters allow you to save space, because under them it is quite pos­si­ble to place things that are unde­mand­ing to stor­age con­di­tions.

Floor mod­els of boil­ers are slight­ly larg­er than wall mod­els, while their weight does not exceed one hun­dred kilo­grams. They are more dif­fi­cult and more expen­sive to con­nect to com­mu­ni­ca­tions. The pipe of such a boil­er should go straight up. Most often, such boil­ers are pro­duced with one cir­cuit, which affects the ease of use. In addi­tion to ease of oper­a­tion, floor heat­ing devices are more reli­able than wall-mount­ed boil­ers.

Number of circuits

boil­ers are either sin­gle or dou­ble. The dif­fer­ence lies in the pos­si­bil­i­ty of con­nect­ing hot water to the boil­er.

Dou­ble-cir­cuit mod­els allow own­ers to com­bine heat­ing and hot water, but this is not always con­ve­nient, because hot water will be a pri­or­i­ty for such a boil­er. This means that when the tap is opened, all the resources of the heater will be direct­ed to warm­ing the water, which forces the rest of the heat­ing sys­tem to stand idle. This is not crit­i­cal in case of a short inter­rup­tion, but in the case of long-term use of hot water, a decrease in the air tem­per­a­ture in the house is pos­si­ble.

Sin­gle-cir­cuit boil­ers are only con­cerned with heat­ing the house. As a coolant, they can use not only water, but also oth­er more effi­cient liq­uids. The lack of hot water can be eas­i­ly fixed. To do this, an addi­tion­al tank is attached to the boil­er, where warm water is heat­ed or an inde­pen­dent water heater is installed for the bath­room. This option is the most con­ve­nient.

Despite the abun­dance of house­hold appli­ances in the house, it will be most con­ve­nient to use a com­bi­na­tion of a sin­gle-cir­cuit floor-stand­ing boil­er and a gas water heater.

Viessmann

In 1917, Johann Wiss­mann opened a small work­shop for the pro­duc­tion of agri­cul­tur­al vehi­cles. The author of this com­pa­ny con­duct­ed research and improved the pro­duc­tion process. The addi­tion­al secu­ri­ty fea­tures offered by var­i­ous brands are almost the same. The main dif­fer­ence is the weight and over­all dimen­sions of the devices. Depend­ing on the pos­si­bil­i­ties of the room and the needs of the heat­ed house, you can choose the right mod­el.
